About My oNHL94 Team

The league is currently playing its first season. I joined really late so got stuck with the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim, but they're actually not all that bad. We use an updated version of the game that contains the current players; however, we're using the version from the start of the season, so my team still has Sergei Federov, who is by far my best player (he was traded to Columbus in Nov 2005).

With just 19 players (2 goalies, 6 defensemen, and 11 forwards), I have by far the smallest team in the league. Luckily, I have just enough decent players on my team to be able compete in the league against powerhouse teams like Tampa Bay.

Standings

Aneheim is in the Pacific division along with The Phoneix Coyotes, The Los Angeles Kings, the The Dalls Stars, and the San Jose Sharks.

Rivalries

The Phoenix Coyotes

Phoenix and Anaheim have split their four games two-apiece. After 20 games, both have 27 points. This is shaping up to be the most competitive divisional rivalry in the Western Conference. In the Eastern Conference, there is a great rivalry going on between Ottawa, Toronto, and Montreal.

The Colorado Avalanche

Anaheim has won both games between these teams with a cumulative score of 9-5, but Colorado is a very dangerous team and has a commanding lead of the Northwest Division. Should these teams meet in the playoffs, who will come out on top is anyone's guess.

Best Players

Jean-Sabastien Giguere, G

Giguere is definately my most valuable player. He's had only one bad game (a 6-0 rout by the Canadiens, 5 goals coming in the first period) and has stolen a rather embarrassingly large number of games for me. (Giguere on TSN)

Sergei Federov, C

Federov is the only player on my team who scores consistently. His speed, stick-handling, and good hockey sense make him the go-to guy. (Federov on TSN)

Andy McDonald, LW

McDonald has emerged as the play-maker of the team, setting up Federov for one-timer goals. (McDonald on TSN)
