The tournament started with 6 players: Jonathan, Frank, Ryan, Dennis, Michael, and Samit & Margaret teaming up together. However, after most of the games had been played, Margaret convinced Young Mi to play, and to even out the number of players, Margaret severed her alliance with Samit.

Teams only played four games each, since time was limited; unfortunately, this made the rankings a little unfair, as some people had easier games than others. Also, due to time constraints (and perhaps interest of the participants ; ) ), there was no B side in the playoffs or best-of-3 series.

The eventual winner of the tournament was Michael (coincidentally, the organizer of the event...), defeating Frank 4-0 in the final match. The score may seem one sided, but the game was actually very close, and it wasn't until the final minute that Michael managed to put the game out of Frank's reach.

Before the final, Frank had dispatched Young Mi and Ryan, the match with Ryan being a well fought 4-2 game; in a rather interesting note, Frank played this game without a goalie!!. Ryan had advanced to the Quarter Finals after Samit forfeited the match.

On his road to glory, Michael had an easy game against Margaret, who managed to score the only goal against Michael in the playoffs. She fell victim to several of Michael's deflection goals. Michael had a tough game against Dennis and his nearly impenetrable defense, managing to gain a lead only after a lucky goal off a defender's skate and another goal where the puck hit the crossbar, fell onto the ice beside the goalie, and was knocked in by the goalie trying to clear the puck. Dennis had earlier managed a 4-0 upset victory over the 3rd-ranked Jonathan, who had soundly defeated Dennis 5-2 earlier in the tournament. It would have been great to see Jonathan try to redeem himself in the B side of playoffs, but as noted earlier, there was not enough time for a B side or best-of-3 playoff series.
